The German-Brazilian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (AHK Rio de Janeiro and AHK São Paulo) are part of the German AHK network, which is represented in 92 countries with 140 locations worldwide. Since 1916, the AHKs have been the basis for strengthening and diversifying the business of its members, while acting as a catalyst for attracting investment, promoting knowledge and technology transfer, and expanding bilateral trade. The AHKs also act as a strong ecosystem for connecting member companies to startups, through various open innovation initiatives. As a result, we were ranked, for four years in a row, as one of the Top 10 startup ecosystems in Brazil. Within the framework of the German foreign trade promotion, the AHK carries out to open up new business opportunities for German companies by providing information and business partners in specific countries or markets around the world.
Invest São Paulo
InvestSP is the Investment Promotion Agency of the State of São Paulo. Its mission is to develop São Paulo by attracting investments, fostering exports and companies’ internationalization, promoting innovation, and improving the business environment. The Agency is a one stop shop for doing business in São Paulo and currently runs 4 representation offices of the State of São Paulo abroad: Dubai (Emirates), Munich (Europe), New York (North America) and Shanghai (China).
Brazilian Embassy in Berlin
The Science, Technology & Innovation and Cooperation Section (SECTEC) is one of the main units of the Brazilian Embassy in Berlin. It is responsible for the scientific and technological cooperation between Brazil and Germany, the promotion of Brazilian innovative enterprises (startups and scaleups) in the German market and the attraction of German investments to the Brazilian scientific-technological sector. The section also fosters academic exchange between the two countries and engages with the Brazilian Science and Innovation Diaspora in Germany.
